Dovecote is our cosy holiday home set in the heart of the village of Trevone on the north Cornish coast. We have spent our family holidays there since we were children 50 years ago and have brought our children and our grandchildren here every year. Trevone Bay  has a sandy Blue Flag beach that is lifeguarded during the summer months and is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the Cornish weather. Our second beach, Rocky Beach, is the home to our natural swimming pool that features in the Mallory Towers tv series.

If you are feeling adventurous why not visit the beach surf shop and kit yourself out with the latest wetsuit or book a Trevone Bay Adventure. The cafe serves a lovely selection of treats for the beach and their evening Tapas menu is really tasty and great value.

The village has a farm shop that supplies an array of local goodies and of course award winning pasties from the Chough Bakery so theres no need to fill your car with shopping, just pop in and stock up when you arrive.

 

The Well Parc, our village inn is a minutes walk away and is the perfect place to have a drink at the end of the day. It also specialises in providing a hearty meal so good it isn't worth wasting time cooking.

Trevone is just minutes from the fishing village of Padstow, made famous by Rick Stein and now the home of chef Paul Ainsworth too. Despite it's popularity Padstow retains its Cornish charm and is a great place to visit whatever the season.

Further afield you can spend a day visiting the Eden Project, Charlestown, Truro or take the coast road from Trevone to Newquay or Lands End to St Ives for some stunning views.

In fact theres so much to do, you will be coming back to Cornwall year after year!
